David C. Driskell Center High School Arts and Education Program The David C. Driskell Center Education Program is held in conjunction with the upcoming exhibition of Robin Holder’s printmaking titled, An American Consciousness: Robin Holder’s Mid Career Retrospective in the Fall of 2009, curated by the Center’s Deputy Director, Dorit Yaron. The Education Program was organized and coordinated by Deputy Director, Dorit Yaron and intern, Kayleigh Bryant. The Education Program engages high school students and local art teachers with Holder’s body of work and the mission of the Driskell Center. The program emphasizes Holder’s social, political, cultural and historical messages and themes. Following Robin Holder’s example of semi-autobiographical themes, stenciling and printmaking techniques, this program aims to encourage students and teachers to develop their artistry and creativity.
