The David C. Driskell Center at the University of Maryland, College Park is easy to visit. We are conveniently located at the intersection of Campus Drive and Union Lane, right next to Stamp Student Union on campus.. A map of the campus and driving directions are linked below.

Parking

Union Lane Garage - A 285-space garage situated between the Stamp Student Union and Cole Fieldhouse . Hours of operation are 7:00 am to 1:45 am, seven days a week. Current rates at this facility are $2.00 per hour, with an $10.00 per day maximum.

Lot 1: There is also a large open lot beyond the parking garage, free to the public after 4 pm and on weekends.

Public Transportation

Taxi: The most reliable method of getting from Metro to the Center is by taxi. There is a taxi stand at the Metro Station (see Google map below) and after the viewing you can ask the Office Manager to call a taxi to take you back to Metro.

UM Bus 104: The University also operates a shuttle bus (UM 104) between the Metro and Stamp Student Union, which is a across the street from the Center; however, shuttle service is available only when the university is in session. Unless you are familiar with the university's schedule and the shuttle route, this is not the recommended method.

From Baltimore and Points North

Take I-95 South to Washington, D.C.'s Capital Beltway (I-495). Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Proceed approximately 2-3 miles South on U.S. Route 1. Make a right onto Campus Dr., this street is indicated by a gated entrance. Continue straight until you reach a circle with the letter M. Go 1/2 of the way around the traffic circle (12:00 location) and continue down Campus Drive. Proceed a 1/4 mile down Campus Dr. and you will see a building named Stamp Student Union. The David C. Driskell Center will be adjacent to Stamp Student Union and the parking garage is on Union Lane on your left.

From Virginia and Washington, D.C.

From MD 193-West/University Blvd.

Turn slight left onto Stadium Dr. Enter next traffic circle and take 1st exit (3:00 position) onto Valley Dr. Pass through next traffic circle. You will go past parking lot 1b and will approach a stop sign. Turn left onto Union Dr. You will pass tennis courts and on your left will be Cole Student Activities Building, once you approach another stop sign, enter into traffic until you reach another stop sign. Make a left onto Union Lane and the parking garage will be on the left.

From MD 193-East/ University Blvd.

Start out going southeast on University Blvd E / MD-193 E toward Lexington Dr.Turn slight right onto Campus Dr. Follow Campus Drive 1/2 way around the circle (12:00 location). After you approach the stop sign turn left to stay on Campus Dr. After 1/4 mile you will notice Cole Student Activities Building in front. Follow the slight curve on Campus Dr. and you will approach a stop sign and turn left onto Union Lane. The parking garage will be on the left.
